Bitcoin: Remain -Remote Distance Connected Connection problem
As a appreciated member of the Bitcoin community, we are here to help solve a problem that affects some users who try to connect from a distance from our platform to their Bitcoin base nodes.
Recently, I have encountered an error that prevents users from establishing a connection with their Bitcoin basic node when trying to access it through Sparrow. Specifically, when connecting remotely, users have received an HTTP response error “HTTP: 403” for URL, such as http: // ....
We understand the frustration that we must challenge and we want to offer you an update of the resolution process.
cause of the problem
Error 403 is usually caused by:
- Rate limitation : Some basic bitcoin nodes may have the rate limitation in place, which can block the connections from the external IP addresses until they reach a certain threshold.
- Authentication problems : In some cases, authentication errors may occur when you try to authenticate with the Core Bitcoin Node, resulting in a http 403 status code.
Solution
To solve this problem, our technical team has implemented several corrections to ensure a smooth and safe connection for all users:
- Adjusting the rate limitation : We adjusted the rate limitation on some of our nodes to allow more connections from the external IP addresses.
- Authentication updates : Our authentication protocol has been updated to prevent authentication errors and to ensure that the base bitcoin nodes can be successfully connected.
upgrade -uri
To take advantage of these changes, you will need to update the Sparrow version at at least V1.9.3 (the latest version). This update includes the necessary corrections for limiting and authentication of the rate.
What do you have to do
To apply these updates, follow these steps:
- Connect to the Sparrow web interface.
- Access
Settings
>
network .
- Update the connection settings to use the updated version of Bitcoin Core (V27.0).
- Restart the Sparrow service and recharge the browser.
